A good walk

There is an area not far from the Drome valley called ‘Les Gorges d’Ombleze’, it’s a great location, offering several unusual and interesting walking opportunities. Today we’re highlighting an easy circuit which makes for a great day out. The Canyon des Gueulards is an easy 9km, 4 hour walk, the first half takes you northwards through an extraordinary, high sided narrow ravine, it’s cool and dry in summer, perfect on a hot day. The second half takes you past several ruins, through woodland and across rolling open countryside with nice views. Take one of our delicious picnic lunches with you, and stop off at the nearby Moulin de la Pipe for a drink afterwards. You should also have time to visit the Chute de la Druise waterfall. We will be making detailed walking notes available on our walking page, we expect it to be popular with self guided walkers.
