Orchids in the Drome

We love the orchids in the Drome and Vercors region, an area that is widely acknowledged as one of the very best in Europe for wild orchids. From mid April through to mid June there are many dazzling species; on a typical Wildlife and Flowers walking week we see around 25, including the Lady’s Slipper which can be found quite easily here. If you’re interested in orchids, think about joining one of our guided weeks; you’ll see orchids galore, plus many other interesting flowers, there are wild peonies at the start of the Spring season and martagon lilies at the end, plus many, many more.
